Services and history

We started as a statement against the almost political style pressuring demands of many so called help centres. Folk who claimed to be professional, but with standards that tried to dominate both other bodies who do care - and the decisions of those who may ask for care. We wanted to set a better high standard of understanding based on what we have experienced amongst our own lives - not what someone has read in a book then call themselves consultants, dispassionately solving a client's problems like a scientist might observe grain of sand.

We don't think you have "problems" that need "solving" in that corporate client way.

You have things going on in your life that maybe you'd rather talk about to a friend who happens to have lots of dogs. Friends who will accept you as you are, with whatever you bring to our table, but without criticism or opinion.

Yes, we can suggest options based on experience, we can top up your teacup, we can help give you direction to help you start facing the right way again. If you want us to.

Or we can just sit and enjoy nature, and throw the dog a ball.

Why come here?

Usually it is people that makes a business unique.

But here? Well, first, we're not a business. No corporate rigmarole, no strained tight deadlines. No pressure. It's the pack. The dogs. The wuluffs - the furry menaces. They're our friends, our confidants. Our support.

Also, it should be of no surprise to learn that we spend volumes of time ensuring the pack maintains it's health and individual direction and we do constantly look for dogs with very specific personalities, backgrounds and breed. We will not take "any" dog. We know what we want and only take on board another one when we need to, or their character is exceptional. Almost always the dogs are rescued from somewhere and when they come to us we guarantee them a life long forever home. With quality food, good exercise and their own sofa - ok...maybe not "their" own sofa - but when they arrive here they join a family.

..but in return they give you their unique soul and understanding.

We do all of this because we've been there ourselves. We know the need to be acknowledged and understood. We know when to say nothing and we really know how to listen.

So we're here. The family pack. Private, rural. Supremely confidential. Just trees, birds, a bunch of dogs.

Come away from your personal rat race and spend peaceful time with us, with them, and a big cup of tea.

We can help.

We ask for no payments. No fees. Nothing. But Why?

Well, this might be a shocker to many - the answer to why?

Simple Humanity. Crazy, right?

Yes, we still have expenses. Food. Bedding. Veterinary care. Training equipment. If you've ever owned a regular sized dog you'll know the lists! Within the pack here, the smallest is mid 30kg. The year old "puppy" is mid 50 kilos and another year of growth in him yet and I swear he's going to be the death of Henry Hoover!

"Buy Me A Coffee" ..any amount is good as any and all donations to the coffee fund are very, very welcome.

If you'd like to help and buy us a coffee (or get Badger a new Ball) just scan the QR code or for more info' click the link "Badgers Ball"

Leelu

The most gentle of caring dogs. A beautiful soul with such an affectionate nature. Truly one of a kind.

Badger

Intense, irrepressible, irascible and way too intelligent. Give him a ball and he will engage you for hours! Or a pompom. He likes pompoms.

Moose

Architect of disaster and destroyer of tea mugs. Once introduced the 50kg+ Mastiff sized Moose is deeply keen on being your lapdog.

Ghost

One of a pair of very special females who are presently (jointly) raising our next character. Quite the personality, she'll come to you when you're ready.
